English - 7th Grade
Monday: Transition Writing Activity 2
Tuesday: Transition Writing Activity 3
Wednesday: Transition Writing Activity 5
Thursday: Transition Writing Activity 6
Friday: Test over Sentence Expanders, Paragraph Order, Transitions - no study guide will be given as this is an application test - the best way to study is to know how to put adjectives, adverbs, and prepositional phrases in a sentence; understand types/examples of paragraph order (sequential, spatial, cause/effect, compare/contrast); know transitions, what they do in sentences, and how to use them in writing paragraphs

Reading - 7th Grade
Monday: Computer Lab - Group Internet Activity on Folklore and Folktales (due Wednesday)
Tuesday: Computer Lab - continue Internet Activity
Wednesday: Fables (handout/powerpooint) - Who Is Aesop (handout) - Read aloud some of Aesop's Fables
Thursday: Read "The Fox Outwits the Crow" text p. 932 and "The Fox and the Crow" text p. 934 - Workbook p. 271, 273
Friday: Test over Folklore and Fables - no study guide will be given as this will be an open book, open note, open worksheet test; however, students will only have the class period to complete the test

Reading Lab - 8th Grade
Monday: Discuss Vocabulary Chapters 9-10 Soldier's Heart
Tuesday: Read Chapters 9-10 Soldier's Heart
Wednesday: AR Test
Thursday: Begin reading Gettysburg (nonfiction) - Read Introduction and Chapter 1
Friday: Read Chapter 2
